SA Vaccinations
Ensure all documents provided contain the:
- Practice/clinic details including official letterhead/stamp
- Your name
- DOB as a minimum
- Where applicable ensure evidence contains vaccination brand and batch
- NB: In certain specialised clinical settings, the health facility may require additional serological evidence of protection.
- Covid-19 Vaccination is strongly recommended for Category A workers in South Australia
- One adult dose of pertussis containing vaccine (dTpa) within the last 10 years
- ADT vaccine will not be accepted as it does not contain the pertussis component
- Serology will not be accepted
- Anti-HBs greater than or equal to 10mIU/mL or 10 IU/L OR
- Documented evidence of antiHBc, indicating past hepatitis B infection, and/or HBsAg+
- Self-report of polio vaccine or self-report having had all standard
childhood vaccines (note: for this VPD, nothing more is required).
- Evidence of two (2) MMR vaccines at least 1 month apart
OR - Positive serology for measles, mumps and rubella antibody (IgG) (include numerical value and immunity status for rubella)
OR - Documented laboratory evidence of past mumps infection.
- Age appropriate course of vaccination OR
- Positive serology OR
- AIR history statement that records natural immunity to chicken pox
- Seasonal influenza vaccination is strongly recommended
- Documented serology:
- Interferon Gamma ReleaseAssay (IGRA) / Quantiferon TB Gold = negative
- If positive serology, requires evidence of clinical review by TB Service/Chest Clinic.
- Interferon Gamma ReleaseAssay (IGRA) / Quantiferon TB Gold = negative
- OR Tuberculosis Skin Test (TST):
- Negative result OR
- If positive, a clinical review by TB Service/Chest Clinic
- Negative result OR
- OR
- if you don't require screening, provide a tuberculosis declaration form which will need to be verified by a TB assessor if you meet any of the risk factors.

Vaccination evidence can either be found on the Australian Immunisation Register or by contacting your GP.
You will be unable to apply for a shift if you do not meet the minimum vaccination requirements.
If you are unable to be fully vaccinated due to a medical contraindication, upload your evidence and it will be reviewed by our onboarding team.
An Immunisation Medical Exemption or a medical contraindication to vaccination is a medical condition or risk factor in a worker that makes receiving a specific vaccine potentially harmful, as assessed by a suitably qualified medical practitioner.
Discuss with your doctor who will provide advice and assess if you have a medical contraindication.
Have your doctor complete and submit an Immunisation medical exemption form (IM011) to the assessor in your local health district to support your application.
The only acceptable evidence of a medical contraindication is an Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation medical exemption(IM011)
