Every shift available on uPaged shows the rate of pay on offer, specific to your year level.

You can apply to the opportunities that best suit your preferences, equipped with everything you need to make an informed decision, including the rate of pay on offer, location, Reliability Rate and facility rating.

Pay rates vary based on a number of factors including:

• the facility, department and specialty
  
• the proximity to shift start time
  

You'll never be offered a shift below the rate in you employment contract, and it will often be higher than this rate.

Superannuation is paid in addition to the rate shown, and PAYG tax will be withheld from this amount.

Some roles may have a uCoin incentive attached, so look out for the gold uCoin icon for the uCoin earning rate.

Yes, for any hours worked in excess of 12 hours in a single shift. The applicable rate is double that of the casual hourly rate specified in your employe contract, not double the surged rate. Please refer to the Schedule on page 4 of your uPaged Employment Contract.

Please note, due to fatigue provisions in the Nurses Award 2020, we are unable to book you in for two consecutive shifts. If a facility asks you to stay for a second shift, the rate of pay will be the same as the first shift, as an extension of hours (and overtime if applicable) rather than two seperate shifts.

We ask you to consider if there is any risk to your health and safety, or adverse impact on your family responsibilities by accepting overtime.

Employees are not obliged to work overtime if the demand is unreasonable or not agreed upon between you and the healthcare organisation.
