Your RR is based on your recent booked shifts, using a rolling window of up to 50 shifts.

The most important thing to know:

• Only facility cancellations made within 24 hours of the shift start time affect your Reliability Rate.

• If you cancel a shift more than 24 hours before it starts, it does not affect your RR.

Because it uses a rolling window, your Reliability Rate can improve as you continue to honour booked shifts and older late cancellations move out of your recent history.

Reliability Rates are designed to support informed decision-making, transparency and trust.

Nurses can see your facility’s RR when deciding which shifts to apply for, while you can see a nurse’s RR when deciding who to book.

This takes some of the anonymity out of on-demand work and gives both sides meaningful data about recent booking behaviour.

A strong Reliability Rate also gives nurses confidence that when they commit their time to your shift, the booking is likely to be honoured.

• Cancel early where possible. Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the shift do not affect your RR.
  
• Mobilise within your facility. Offer an opportunity in a different department.
• If plans change, act as early as you can. This gives the nurse more opportunity to find alternative work.
  
• Keep building a strong booking history. Your RR can improve as newer fulfilled shifts replace older late cancellations.
