Nurses that find and book a shift through uPaged become onboarded at that hospital. Some hospitals will be able to offer you a uniform to wear, which we’re really excited about because that way you'll feel more like you're part of the team.
If a hospital cannot provide a uniform to you, you should wear your own uniform, appropriate to your specialty. Plain navy scrubs or navy trousers or skirt and a white top are typical attire. Your shoes should be plain black or navy, closed in and leather. As a health professional, having a neat and tidy appearance is important, and this may contribute to earning a more positive rating. The hospital will also provide you with an ID and access card.
Before your first shift at a new hospital, refer to the Additional Information tab on the Hospital Profile. This is full of handy information including uniform requirements for casual shifts at that hospital.
