Your National Police Check, sometimes called an Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC) check (which includes verification of your identity as required by employers, previously known as the 100 point ID check), is a mandatory requirement for working in all Australian hospitals.
uPaged nurses require a new Police Check at the time of registration with uPaged, and as a 'point in time' check. Any prior National Police Checks cannot be accepted as evidence of the currency of your Police Check, or the validity of your 100 points of ID. Our preferred provider is InterCheck Australia, who are registered by ACIC to provide this service.
Please do not secure a new Police Check outside of the uPaged system or contact InterCheck directly to conduct this check. This check should only be completed on your uPaged profile by one of our Nurse Onboarding Specialists via our preferred provider InterCheck to ensure your check is directly connected to your uPaged profile.
Only complete your Police Check when you are available and meet our hospitals' requirements to complete on-demand casual shifts at hospitals that have shifts posted right now.
YAY! Upon completion of 5 shifts with uPaged, you will be reimbursed for the $49 cost of your Police Check. Just send us your Police Check invoice and your reimbursement should appear in your account within 3-5 business days.
