I'm a new graduate and just registered with AHPRA. Can I join uPaged? Follow
Firstly... congratulations! So within the last year, you:
- Graduated with your Bachelor or Diploma of Nursing;
- Finished your bridging program; or
- Became registered with AHPRA?
Yes - you can join uPaged and create a uPaged profile.
On-demand work requires a high level of skill and independence though, so to start working with uPaged, you need to have at least one year full-time equivalent i.e. 1786 hours of post-registration clinical nursing experience gained in an Australian hospital.
Our hospitals set the rules, not us. Please check out the requirements to become a uPaged nurse here: https://bit.ly/3fCoMRs
At this early stage of your career, you need the support of a permanent work environment to grow and develop your skills. Read our blogpost full of insider intel about securing your first nursing job - Graduate Programs - How To Find Your First Job In Nursing here: https://bit.ly/2DLR7HN.
While you're in the process of gaining the required experience, please feel welcome to complete your uPaged profile, so that if new opportunities arise, you're ready to get uPaged. Hint: a more complete profile, gets a nurse in first!
Once you have gained more than one year of experience at your registration grade, we would love to connect you to uPaged shifts. Check out our tips and tricks in completing a uPaged profile here https://bit.ly/3gD1Frn.
Keep an eye on our emails and social media pages below so you can be the first to know if new opportunities arise.
