How do I make my profile "live" and pick up shifts on uPaged? Follow
Before your profile is activated to start booking casual shifts, you need to meet our hospitals' minimum requirements (see them here: https://bit.ly/3fCoMRs), and the following steps must be completed.
1. Complete all minimum requirements on your profile
Due to the often last-minute nature of contingency work, we need to ensure that from the moment you’re booked for a shift, you’re “employment ready”. For that reason, your profile won’t be visible to hospitals until the minimum requirements are completed.
If you’re waiting for your police check or references to come back, use this time to beef-up your profile with all of your incredible skills, competencies and certificates. Watch our quick, 5-step guide on how to complete your uPaged profile here: https://bit.ly/32ytU4X
2. Book in a phone interview with one of our Nurse Onboarding Specialists
Please treat this as a job interview. You want to show that you are the best person for the job.
You may book here https://bit.ly/3fAi1zU ONLY WHEN your profile is complete and you are prepared for the interview.
Interviews will only be offered to nurses who meet our hospitals' minimum requirements here: https://bit.ly/3fCoMRs
3. Obtain a point-in-time National Police Check
Your National Police Check is a mandatory requirement for working in all Australian hospitals.
uPaged nurses require a new Police Check before setting your profile to live as a 'point in time' check. Please check out our FAQ page on how to obtain one and be reimbursed for the cost here: https://bit.ly/30xTOWt
4. Enter your availability
We don’t want to pester you when you’re not available, so if you want to work and earn some extra cash, make sure you enter your availability so you’re discoverable to hospitals.
At the moment we are only working with hospitals in Sydney, but as we expand we’ll give you the opportunity to select your availability for specific hospitals that you want to work at.
5. Apply for shifts!
Once you have completed the above steps, one of our Nurse Onboarding Specialists will set your profile to live, and you can start applying for shifts by selecting "Apply" to shifts!
The hospital will be notified directly, review your profile, and will accept or reject your application.
